MHI Selected as Operator of the Liberian Electricity Corporation
The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) on behalf of the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy for the Government of the Republic of Liberia (GOL) has selected MHI as the operator under a five year management contract. MHI will improve the utility’s operating performance while providing greater access to electricity for residents within the capital, Monrovia. MHI is carrying out the work in association with Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC). The project will mobilize in July, 2010.
