Internal Capabilities Improvement for SJVN in India

MHI was engaged by KPMG to assist SJVN in improving its internal capabilities to manage SJVN’s growing hydropower business. The areas in which MHI assisted included the identification of critical practices and success factors for development and operations of hydro projects; providing of benchmarks from the most efficient global hydro utilities and the development of measurable parameters for benchmarking SJVN against these utilities; typical organizational structures in global hydro utilities and changes in structure in movement from the construction phase to the operations phase; and typical profile and capabilities requirements in the hydro utilities.
