Billing Metering and Collections Contract
The main objectives for this project were to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of the customer billing system while reducing overall customer accounts receivable. MHI staff were all placed in key commercial and information systems positions to allow for effective changes to be made in the targeted areas:
- Managing the commercial operations of the district offices within the region of Uganda
- Planning, designing and implementing improved policies, procedures, and forms relating to district commercial activities; including, meter reading, customer records maintenance and all collections activities
- Planning, designing and implementing improvements to the customer billing system
- Planning, designing, and implementing a disciplined billing schedule and a complete re-registration of all customers
- Ensuring that business processes at UEB were effectively linked with and supported by IT processes
MHI staff assumed the roles of manager, planner, supervisor, coach, trainer, and developer.
