Owners Advisor - Technical Assistance - Hydropower Development and Operations

MHI has been contracted to provide technical assistance to a major Canadian energy company for the development of a 1200 MW hydropower facility in Northern Canada. Client and site names are confidential. The work consists of:

• Reviewing conceptual plant designs and demographics and geographic features of the plant location
• Recommending Staffing numbers, skills, level of automation
• Evaluating the pros and cons of alternative operating strategies
• Estimating local employment opportunities and training requirements
• Estimating conceptual annual operating costs and maintenance plan and strategy
