Stores/Purchasing Operations Improvement Program
MHI assisted the Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) in the identification of improvements for its Purchasing Processes and Stores Inventory Control Processes. Training of staff and process improvement implementations took place in early 2006. Specific tasks included:
- Identifying what types of material should be classified as inventory
- Recommending how inventory and non–inventory can be identified, monitored and controlled
- Assisting with the set-up and implementation of their new accounting and financial software specifically the inventory management and procurement modules
