Electricity Grid Operating Co. Electricity Transmission Rehabilitation Project

MHI provided KEGOC technical engineering assistance to undertake major rehabilitation of the Kazakhstan Electrical Transmission Grid. Part of the scope of work included in the funding is the rehabilitation of 63 substations and the replacement of all relay protection schemes. Work included the preparation of procurement documents for the high voltage apparatus replacements, relay protection, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, bus support insulators, surge arresters, current transformers, voltage transformers, and station batteries.
