Electricity Sector Performance Improvement Workshop

The workshop reviewed the global experience in power (and to some extent, other sectors) with management, operations and maintenance, and other forms of contracts that have been used in a sector reform context where deeper forms of private participation, such as leases, concessions, or trade sales, have not been immediately feasible.

Two presentations were required by MHI. One presentation providing an overview of the firm’s experiences with management contracts, operations and maintenance contracts, or other forms of management assistance. A second presentation was given describing a specific aspect of the firm’s experience. The workshop sessions were conducted in panel format.
