MHI Delivers Line Restoration Training for the Saudi Electric Company (SEC)
MHI was contracted by the Saudi Electric Company (SEC) to develop and conduct a training course for a group of 20 linemen. The project involved the demonstration of safe techniques used to restore downed 380 KV quad bundled transmission lines.
MHI managed both off and on-the-ground training through the facilitation of classroom training material prepared in advance by MHI, and then following up with on-site training lead by MHI staff.

MHI to Undertake a Natural Gas Market Development Strategy Study in Mindanao, Philippines
Canadian Gas Services International, a division of MHI, was recently selected by the World Bank to undertake a market development strategy study for the use of natural gas in the Mindanao region of the Philippines.
The Government of the Philippines and World Bank are interested in facilitating development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in the country, including one on the island of Mindanao in the south, which is the second largest island in area and population. The primary goal is to provide access to the international gas market so that a competitive, clean fuel is available for use in power generation.
The overall objective of this assignment is to identify parallel markets, in addition to the anchor power plant, for gas use in the Mindanao region that will balance the economics of the foreseen LNG import terminal.
