Meet Michelle Deniset – Marketing Supervisor

Working as a Marketing Supervisor with MHI since 2012, Michelle Deniset coordinates the marketing and business administrative activities for Manitoba Hydro’s High Voltage Test Facility (HVTF). Michelle took on her current position in 2014 when MHI formed a partnership with the HVTF to commercialize its high voltage testing services.

Michelle began her career at Manitoba Hydro as a Marketing Trainee in the Commerce Career Development Program and moved into a Marketing Analyst position in the Major Accounts Department before starting at MHI.

What is the most enjoyable aspect of your job?

I’m proud to be part of a team that works hard and provides excellent service. Everyone is always willing to help each other out. It may sound cliché, but success depends on the combined efforts of many people. Working well together not only makes work easier but also more enjoyable.

How would you describe working at MHI to a prospective employee?

I frequently interview prospective students and always tell them that no day is ever the same. Working at MHI is fast-paced and new opportunities arise daily – so it is never dull.

One of the best things about working at MHI is the focus on work-life balance. MHI provides the flexibility that allows me to spend more time with my young children.

What is something that you wish others knew about your industry or area of expertise?

There are a lot of hours put in behind the scenes. Whether it’s creating a brochure, organizing a tradeshow appearance, or hosting a webinar – a lot of thought, planning, and preparation goes into anything marketing related. Our job is to make it all come together seamlessly.
