Cahora Bassa Dam — Songo Mozambique
At the end of the rainy season in Mozambique, Ryan took this photo looking downstream along the Zambezi river. With the reservoir full, Hidroelectrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) spills excess water that it cannot run through its generators. With a capacity of 2,075 MW, this is the largest dam in southern Africa. For over a decade, MHI has provided HCB with technical and operational support.
“Working at MHI has given me the opportunity to undertake rewarding projects and travel to parts of the world that most would never see. All the great people that I get to work with – both clients and co-workers – has left the biggest impression on me.”
- Ryan Troeller, Senior Project Development Engineer
