The PSCAD hospitality suite welcomed more than 1,650 visitors over two evenings during this year’s IEEE PES General Meeting in Montréal.
The event welcomed system operators, utilities, manufacturers, consulting firms, research organizations, academia and industry partners from around the world. The hospitality suite provided an opportunity for attendees to reconnect with colleagues, build new relationships and exchange ideas on power system simulation, emerging industry challenges, and research and collaboration opportunities.
The event was hosted by PSCAD, a product of MHI, in partnership with RTDS Technologies. It continues to be one of the most highly attended networking events associated with the IEEE PES General Meeting.
“We look forward to this event every year because it gives us the opportunity to reconnect with clients and friends from across the industry that we don't get to see very often. It's always valuable to learn more about how they're using PSCAD, hear about the challenges they're facing, and discuss how we can better support their work,” said Kristen Benjamin Carson, Manager, Project Sales and Administration. “The conversations and friendships built over the years are one of the things that make this event so special.”
The event’s strong turnout reflects the continued value of bringing the international power systems community together.
For MHI, the event also highlights PSCAD’s role in supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange across an industry facing increasingly complex power system challenges.
