MHI in Subcontractor Role in Phase II of the Kabul Electricity Supply Improvement Program Funded by USAID

Since early 2009, MHI has provided services to the PA Consulting Group of Washington in support of the Kabul Electricity Supply Improvement Program (KESIP) funded by USAID. The KESIP project involves providing consultancy and advisory services to the management of KED, Kabul's government-run utility. MHI's involvement in Phase II of this project, which will commence in December 2009, involves the staffing of two advisory positions for a two year period and the completion of six separate studies covering various operating areas of the utility including revenue protection, revenue losses reduction, training needs analyses, and network operation and maintenance.
