On Feb. 3, 2016, MHI’s client, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), attained a new record for transmitting the peak generation of 5,074.7 MW and the highest daily maximum energy wheeled to date of 109,372 Mwh. Since 2012, MHI has assumed the management responsibility and control of TCN’s entire operations.

MHI’s leadership at the National Control Centre and other stations contributed to this achievement. MHI exclusively developed distribution dispatching tools, generation dispatching tools, and load forecasting tools for the Nigerian market. Since the development, application, and training of these tools, communication and cooperation among stakeholders in the power sector have increased substantially.
