MHI was awarded a contract, by the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, to review and report on two generation expansion alternatives for the Island of Newfoundland Interconnected Electrical System.

MHI will review all previous work and analysis done in relation to the two alternatives and is already reviewing information that has been filed and working to identify areas which require clarification.

MHI will also provide a comprehensive review of the Cumulative Present Worth (CPW) analysis of the Projects in order to identify the least-cost alternative, as well as a final report on MHI’s findings. The provision of ongoing support to the Board in preparation of its report to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will also be provided.
